excitement
Here is a brief list of some exciting things I have been up to lately.
Mom & Dad, I am doing well and I feel very safe here. Don't worry about me. But please pray that the typhoon will die out and that classes will go well. love you:)
I hope to post pictures soon....
- walking in typhoon rain
- preparing for classes
- shopping in a gigantic mall for a very long time (too expensive, didn't buy anything)
- taking pictures
- eating with chopsticks

i made it
Hello from the other side of the world.
Have you ever heard Anna or Madalyn ask: Is today tomorrow? I can now say that today is tomorrow. Although technically speaking, today is the tomorrow of yesterday.
Always is. always will be.
Time changes really confuse me.
I am exhausted.
I ate too much kimchi:)

campmeeting

I just left campmeeting.
A family tradition. Good memories, and good times. I miss the musical pulse of the cicadas at night; they are so loud that it can be hard to talk. Campmeeting is listening to inspiring speakers, being with family I have not seen for years, and talking with old and new friends. Before I leave for Korea tomorrow morning (going to the airport at 2:30 a.m. :D !) I get to welcome one of my dearest and most amazing sisters back to OK. She will finish enjoying campmeeting for me. I love you Elisa- welcome home!

Zucchini
Our farm is a land flowing with squash and zucchini... We are always trying to find creative ways to sneak it into every food we eat. Tonight I made a zucchini crisp- it tastes & looks just like apple crisp. Mmmm.
At Sandra's request, here is her favorite (& mine too) recipe from the domestic diva that includes zucchini :D
Sopa De Garbanzo
2 c. cooked garbanzos
1 tbsp. oil
1 med. chopped onion
2 cloves garlic
4 c. sliced zucchini
2 c. peeled & chopped tomatoes ( I use homeade mild salsa)
1 c. hot water
3 pkg. George Washington Broth
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. cumin
Cook and serve it up by itself or with favorite chips. Enjoy!

Mom bought you from Wal-Mart!

The two princesses of our family like babies. Alot. In their deep, four-year old philosophical discussions about how babies are born, I can't help but smile.
Anna and Madalyn have a human Anatomy children's book and of course, their favorite chapter is on the development of the baby. great. And just this afternoon, the girls were talking with each other about who was older and who was bigger, and WHY. (Anna is two minutes older than Madalyn, but Madalyn is bigger than Anna) Anna said, "You are bigger because mom bought you at Wal-Mart!" Last week, Anna also claimed that the reason Andrew was so tall is because mom planted a little seed in the garden and Andrew grew and grew and that is why he is so tall (Gardening is very educational). Whether from Wal-Mart or from the farmer's market, I am privelaged to live with such intelligent and special girls.
