What will you be when you grow up?

As the countdown until graduation gets closer I find myself answering the same question numerous times... daily.

"So... what are you doing after graduation?"

It is a valid question. One that I have been asking others. And asking myself. I have a pretty good idea of what I am doing, but I have known for this thing called life to throw unexpected curve balls. We will soon find out how everything will get sifted out in the end.

1. May 2 Graduation (On the condition that I pass Adult III nursing)
2. GO HOME! (Pick asparagus and cook and clean is all that that really means)
3. Take NCLEX (Dependent upon the outcome of #1)
4. Enjoy home life before hospital life takes over my life
5. Get a job in the southeast US
6. Overseas medical work
7. Nurse practitioner school

Then there are my lifelong dreams. Some of them I am watching come true. Others I am waiting for. Someday when people ask me what I want to do in life I will say "Get married, have lots of kids, bake, record music, travel and do mission work, oh... and work as a nurse".

Yeah. Maybe that is what I should start telling people.

Cranberry Bounce Test

"It is a curious fact. The firmer and fresher the cranberry, the higher it bounces. That's why cranberries undergo the "bounce test". If you drop cranberries onto wooden boards, the best berries bounce into the air. We specially select cranberries to accompany our other fine ingredients. Buttery-tasting almonds, multi grain flakes and whole grain granola clusters. Cranberry Almond Crunch. Just one of our Post Select cereals. Each with a story of its own.
-The Back of the Cereal Box from Post Selects Cranberry Almond Crunch

Thank you for giving me fresh cranberries, Post Selects!

"Growers use a simple test to see if a cranberry is ripe or not. They drop the berries and let them bounce over a wooden barrier. Air pockets in the cranberries make them bounce, so if the berry is damaged it won’t bounce over the barrier. The bad berries drop down into throwaway bins, and the good ones move on to be packaged". - www.state.nj.us

Monkey Bread Update

As promised: Lemon Monkey Bread

It may not be as healthy as planned... but it is vegan if that counts as anything healthy.

Ooey Gooey Lemon Monkey Bread.

Drizzled with lemon sauce and vegan cream cheese sauce. Oh boy.

Best if eaten fresh out of the oven. Pull apart pieces. Oh my!

More often than not, I wish I did this instead of studying.

Which gives me one more reason to be thankful that I finish with my classes every week on Thursday.
