They really are a different breed. They always look nice and think that everyone else should too. Where I got my haircut was no exception.
I was there first customer on the grand opening day.
They lavished me with all of their once-dammed up affection and attention, and.... advice.
"You really would look great with blonde highlights."
I know... I do look good with blonde highlights. I had them for years, in fact. It costs too much to keep up with and to time and energy.
"You do know that a little bit of roots growing out after a dye is stylish though?" She seemed concerned about my taste.
I am a little concerned about hers.

You're a brave soul to go in on opening day. I don't think I'd have the courage. I think you look just fine without the highlights. And I do like your haircut, by the way! :)
LOL for your story and for the added comment by Jessie! and just to let you know I have a wonderful hair dresser. I refuse to go to anyone else because she is amazing! She lives in Orlando and if you ever want to visit her I will give you her number.
Haha! That's funny... A lady at our church (a special breed, no doubt) is always trying to play with my hair and give me "much needed" advice. She actually told me that she prayed over my hair before, b/c she thought the lady that normally cuts my hair did a horrible job. People are hilarious:)
Every time I get my hair cut, they ask my what kind of shampoo I use. I go to Great Clips...do they expect me to buy expensive shampoo? Oh silly hair dressers.
I think your hair is lovely without aforementioned blond highlights. : ) Guess I'm a fan of all things natural.
lol I don't think our society appreciates natural things. But I'm a big fan - you look great, Emily!
